EXODUS Films Two New Videos; Photos Available

April 23, 2010

San Francisco Bay Area thrashers EXODUS filmed two videos on April 1 in Los Angeles with director Jon Schnepp ("Metalocalypse", the animated program about DETHKLOK, the world's most popular death metal band, on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim) on the old set of the television sitcom "Night Court".

Behind-the-scenes photos from the video shoot can be viewed below (pictures taken by Charity Bidegain).

Commented Schnepp: "EXODUS asked me to do a music video for their new album, so I listened to 'Exhibit B: The Human Condition' and I ended up making two videos for them: 'Hammer And Life' and 'Downfall'!

"Gary Holt [EXODUS guitarist] and the band really dig my ideas.

"I think their music is incredible and they always give me 100% at the video shoot.

"Working with these legends of thrash metal again has been a blast!"

Added EXODUS drummer Tom Hunting: "Jon Schnepp is the MAN! He brought a lot of fun to the day and didn't want me to play muffled drums because he wanted the cymbals to shimmer like they do in a live performance. With me, I see a drum kit and I have to hit it! [laughter] So, yeah, they were the real thing — my new Yamaha oak custom kit with a silver sparkle fade. I love them!"

Bassist Jack Gibson shared: "I loved 'Night Court'… one of the great TV show themes. I was playing that bass riff all day long!

"My girlfriend was in the video dressed in almost nothing! It's cool; she always wanted to be in a rock video. She actually worked it out with Jon by herself… I didn't even get the gig for her.

"We had a good time checking out the other sets there. The hospital, the office rooms, the houses. We even got it on in one of the jail cells!"

Regarding the "Exhibit B: The Human Condition" cover artwork, Gary Holt recently stated, "We wanted to portray the violence of man at its finest, so we started with our own version of the Leonardo da Vinci sketch [of 'Vitruvian Man'], but done the 'EXODUS' way! I was pointed in the direction of Colin Larks of Rainsong Design for the cover and he killed it! To me, the artwork represents man and his affinity for bloodshed, ignorance, and all-around ability to be led like sheep to the slaughter. The image fits the songs on this record perfectly. The whole layout is going to as sick as the record itself!"

"Exhibit B: The Human Condition" was recorded this past December in Northern California with producer Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, ARCH ENEMY, KREATOR).

EXODUS recently took part in the "Rust In Peace 20th Anniversary Tour" with MEGADETH and TESTAMENT.
